The Service of Christian Marriage

Coleman Memorial Chapel ("CMC") accepts requests to hold a service of Christian Marriage in the chapel. Please contact CMC at 717-468-2662 or email Kole202@aol.com to make an appointment to visit the chapel and to contact the CMC Pastor.  CMC retains the right to refuse to accept a request to use the chapel for any reason. A Wedding Procedures contract will be required which may have additional requirements.

Prior to the Wedding

Prospective couples are encouraged to attend chapel services prior to making arrangements for a wedding. If the couple desires to have someone other than CMC's Pastor to conduct the marriage service, that request must be pre-approved. CMC requires marriage counseling services to be held with CMC's Pastor unless other counseling arrangements have been made and can be verified. All aspects of the wedding program must be discussed with the Pastor and reviewed by the CMC Board no later than thirty (30) days prior to the wedding date.

Using the Chapel Property (seating capacity appx. 125 people)

The chapel may be opened a maximum of three (3) times prior to the wedding date to accommodate preparations. Decoration plans must be pre-approved due to the need to preserve the historical property. The men in the bridal party may use the nursery room to gather and dress. The women in the bridal party may use the Sunday School/Fellowship room if the parsonage is not available. Children must always be accompanied by an adult. Rice or other forms of confetti are not permitted. All decorations must be removed within 24 hours following the marriage service. The Wedding Procedures contract will have additional requirements for using the property. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises.

Use of chapel and sound room technology           $600

Pastoral Counseling and Officiating                        $300

Organist or other musicians are not provided.
